All My Experiences Prepared Me To Be a Real-Estate Professional in Sarasota.

Born and raised in metropolitan New York, I declared Florida residency in 1976, when I started college at the University of South Florida in Tampa. By graduation, I felt a bond to Sarasota. Family members lived here, and I had met many county residents who would become my lifelong friends.

In 1981, diploma in hand, I returned to New York City, eager to begin a career in the food industry. I worked forヨヨor partnered with, in joint ventures--General Foods, Kraft Foods, and Schreiber Foods; General Mills, Cargill, and Pillsbury; and Simplot and Land O' Lakes, Inc. While I worked in the food industry, I went back to school and . . .

I Earned an MBA in Finance and Business Management from the Carlson School of Business, the University of Minnesota.

Despite the wintry deep freeze outside, I thrived indoors, in large corporate environments. My responsibilities included international travel. I gained a unique global perspective on diverse populations. I learned their customs, preferences, and specific business criteria. The Buyers' long list of requirements restricted their choices in the world's seemingly infinite marketplace. I marveled at the process that brought Buyers and Sellers together, and I studied how the best connections were made. I found the tasks challenging and rewarding, but . . .

The longer I lived in the Northlands, the stronger my desire to return to Sarasota County. I spent time analyzing the effective, efficient international sales process I had learned.
